Most rides are private trailhead-to-trailhead shuttles for one or two hikers. Almost every trip is a car spot: you park where you want to finish, we drive you to your starting trailhead, and you hike back to your car.
Trailhead Shuttles
Rides to and from trailheads and road crossings between Pearisburg and Waynesboro — including McAfee Knob (VA-311), Dragon's Tooth, and Tinker Cliffs.

McAfee Knob
The most photographed spot on the entire Appalachian Trail — 8.8 miles round trip from VA-311, with 270-degree panoramic views. The parking lot fills up by mid-morning on weekends, and roadside parking risks a tow.
Dragon's Tooth
Shortest of the three at 4.6 miles round trip, but the toughest — a steep climb with rock scrambling and iron handholds to the tooth-like summit.
Tinker Cliffs
The quiet one. About 7 miles round trip via the Andy Layne Trail, with sweeping views back toward Catawba Mountain and McAfee Knob — and far fewer crowds.
Good to know: camping in this section is only allowed at designated shelters and campsites, so plan overnights ahead — and carry plenty of water.
From Pearisburg through the Roanoke Valley and north toward Waynesboro.
These are common service areas, not a hard boundary. If your trailhead is farther away, ask.

I volunteer with the Roanoke Appalachian Trail Club alongside my family — including my father Homer and stepmother Therese, familiar faces to generations of thru-hikers on these trails. When I drop you at a trailhead, it's on trail my family has helped take care of.

You park your car where you want to finish your hike, we drive you to your starting trailhead, and you hike back to your car. Almost every trip works this way.
Do you only shuttle around Daleville?
No. Daleville, Catawba and Roanoke are common starting points, but the regular corridor runs south to Pearisburg and north to Waynesboro. Longer trips can be arranged.
Can you handle larger groups?
Most shuttles are for one or two hikers in a comfortable sedan. Got a bigger crew? Ask in advance and we'll work it out.

Can you go beyond Pearisburg or Waynesboro?
Longer-distance rides are available by arrangement and depend on schedule and route. Just ask.
Can you bring supplies out to the trailhead?
Sometimes. If you're on trail and need food, gear, or something you forgot, text me — if I'm nearby and the timing works, I can run it out to the trailhead. Priced by route, like any other trip.
